Hi guys, I hope you all are doing well and staying healthy. I know these past couple of weeks have been so rough, especially since we are dealing with this huge change in our daily lives. I’ve been trying to write for my blog, but it just seems so weird telling you guys what shoes I want to buy for spring or some of my favorite trends when the world is full of a lot of uncertainty. I might not have the largest platform, but I do have one and I don’t want to seem like I’m ignoring everything that’s going on today.
My college is closed until the fall and all of my classes were moved online for the rest of the semester. This transition has been difficult, and I know a lot of my followers are in the same situation, whether you’re now doing classes online or working from home. It’s hard to get adjusted to a different way of life when you’re so used to going about your days in a completely different way. I created this blog as a way to share what I’m passionate about with literally anyone who would be interested. I’ve been lucky to be able to gain support from friends, family, and you guys. This blog has always been a fun hobby of mine and I get a lot of joy from doing it. It was a way for me to destress from life and I wanted my blog to be a place where my followers could come to feel inspired and possibly feel distracted from whatever might be bothering them. Growing up, I would always watch YouTube and my favorite creators could easily distract me from whatever was bothering me.
There’s a lot of negativity in the media right now and I know a lot of our minds are filled with uncertainty. It’s hard to think about writing about fashion or something else that seems so little right now, but it brings me happiness and some relief from my life. I am going to continue creating content as normal. My hope is that you can come to my blog and read something that might help distract you, even if it is just for a moment. As always, I welcome any ideas or requests you might have that you would want to see on my blog or social media so please feel free to comment them below or DM privately on Instagram (@lauren_trythall). I appreciate all of the support I’ve received from all of you, whether you’ve just liked a post or bought something through my liketoknow.it, I am so thankful! I want to continue to be a resource for all things fashion, beauty, and other lifestyle topics. I will be posting a lot more content since I have more time on my hands so be sure you are signed up for emails so you never miss a post.
I hope that you are all doing your best to stay healthy and practicing social distancing recommendations! Feel free to me
XO, Lauren
