Welcome back to my blog!
It’s been awhile since I’ve sat down to write a post. Life has been crazy busy and it’s definitely been a challenge to keep up with everything. There’s been a lot of new things happening in my life and I needed to figure out how to manage everything. I have missed blogging and I am ready to get back into it. I have some exciting content planned for the upcoming months, but for today I just wanted to share with you guys what has been going on in my life.
In January, I started school at Loyola University Chicago. It’s been a big adjustment since transferring schools is not always easy. I had to figure out a new plan to graduate and basically figure out how Loyola works. I absolutely love Loyola and I am so happy with my decision to transfer. It was not an easy decision, but I am so much more happier here than I was at my old school. Loyola has been more challenging, but in the best way possible.
At Loyola, I wanted to get involved and meet people as quick as possible since I do live off campus. I decided to rush a sorority, and I am so happy I did. I’m in Kappa Kappa Gamma and I love it! It’s definitely kept me busy, but I’ve met so many great people quickly and it has helped make Loyola feel more like home.
February came and went by so quickly. I was invited to New York Fashion Week and was able to attend runway shows, and even sit second row!!! Of course my mom and sister came, which made the trip even better since I haven’t been home since January 4th. Attending New York Fashion Week has been a dream of mine ever since I was younger. Getting invited definitely took a lot of work, but my hard work paid off and I was able to accomplish one of my dreams. I’m already hoping to go back in September for another fashion week.
As for now, I’m trying to finish out this week strong and not get distracted with the thought of spring break. Spring break is next week, but I have to finish this week off by doing well on exams and completing assignments so I can enjoy my break. Although I’m jealous of everyone going some place warm for break, I need a week to just literally chill. This spring break I have plans to take care of myself and maybe spend some time doing a little retail therapy.
I don’t want to jinx it, but 2019 has been an amazing year so far. I know it’s going to be one of the best years of my life. I know this post wasn’t too exciting and had nothing to do with fashion, but I like sharing life updates with you guys.
XO,
Lauren Trythall
